The Panasonic FV-24JR3 is a high quality DC (direct current) ceiling exhaust fan packed with some wonderful features. The fan consumes only 9.3w on high speed at only 36.5 dB(A). The unit has a built in 15 minute run on timer, no external timer is required. The fan also features a clever 24 hour setting, which can be configured by the end user and allows for the fan to operate continuously on a setting which only consumes 3.6w at 24.5 dB(A). Perfect for areas suffering from mould or moisture issues as the unit will provide round the clock ventilation very quietly. This model also features a motion sensor. The Panasonic FV-24JR3 is much more than just a ceiling exhaust fan. The product is unique as it offers a setting to provide 24 hour continuous ventilation. Instead of switching off after the run on timer has finished the fan can be set up to run at a low airflow setting continuously (you can select from 33l/s or 22l/s). This is a great solution to mould and damp issues. This feature is optional and can be configured to suit each homes individual requirements.
Panasonic Ceiling Exhaust Fan Installation
The fan cannot be directly screwed or fixed into the plasterboard. The manufacturer advises for the installer to place a ‘b piece’ of wood or metal on the top side of the ceiling fan which will screw into that.

Good fan but noisy when motion sensor speeds up fan. I have covered the motion sensor to prevent this. Motion sensor would be great for toilet or bathroom applications but not for living areas.
