Backdraft Shutters

The tradies choice mechanical damper has a 150mm diameter barrel with 5mm silver foam insulation. The barrel has a mechanical actuator on the side which will mechanically open/close the damper once it has been wired to a on/off switch. Perfect for heat transfer kits and other applications which may require a mechanical damper.

A backdraft shutter is used with inline fans and duct, to stop air flowing in the “back” direction. It has “butterfly” wings and a very weak spring to minimise airflow reduction.

Metal damper with additional 240v actuator.

This mechanical shutter is perfect for zoning requirements for a heat transfer system. Its 240v so would require an electrician to wire the damper to a switch. This will give you the ability to open/close the damper as and when required. This is particularly useful if you wish to shut off a branch of a heat transfer kit (eg if its a spare bedroom seldom used for example).

This kit consists of a 250mm metal zone damper and 240v actuator – read the 'installation example' tab below for more information and example diagram.

A simple and inexpensive way to stop standard ceiling exhaust fans from letting warm air out or cold air in. The draft stopper fits over fans that are smaller than its diameter of 330mm.
