With a high wind speed rating of 205 km/hr and featuring high carbon chromium steel ball bearings, this ventilator is built to withstand harsh weather conditions. Its BAL 40 rating ensures compliance with Australian Building Standards for bushfire-prone areas. The lightweight design (1.9kg) and included flashing make it easy to install on either metal or tiled roofs.

How many WindMasters do I need?

As a general recommendation, the manufacturer recommends 1-2 WindMaster’s per 90m2 of roof space.

Note: This unit does not include a motor, it is designed to be wind driven, also known as a ‘whirlybird’. The benefit of this is no running costs, however it does mean that extraction performance will be limited if wind is minimal. The product however has been designed to operate at fairly low wind speeds.
