A wind driven, roof mounted, aluminium ventilator designed to exhaust heat & moisture from the roof space of a home, without the use of electrical energy. Includes suitable flashing for either a metal or tiled roof. This unit is finished in the Colourbond ‘Monument’ Colour. Featuring high carbon chromium steel ball bearings, weighing only 1.9kg with a wind speed rating of 205 km/hr.

How many WindMasters do I need?

As a general recommendation, the manufacturer recommends 1-2 WindMaster’s per 90m2 of roof space.

Note: This unit does not include a motor, it is designed to be wind driven, also known as a ‘whirlybird’. The benefit of this is no running costs, however it does mean that extraction performance will be limited if wind is minimal. The product however has been designed to operate at fairly low wind speeds.

Easy enough to install from the online instructions. However, getting the barrel turned to get it level on top can be tricky when the two sections stick. A bit of WD40 solved the problem though. Overall, a good product that works well.
