Terms & Conditions
We provide you the opportunity to purchase and receive Products through our website under the following Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms of Sale”).
Orders
For each Product included in your Checkout Summary, your order represents an offer from you to Pure Ventilation to purchase that Product. A contract for supply will be formed once your payment has been processed and we send you an email order confirmation.
When you purchase Products from us, you are entering into a contract with us under these Terms of Sale for those Products.
We are responsible for dispatching Products under these Terms of Sale. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further details.
All accepted Product orders override any prior quotes or estimates that may have been given to you.
We reserve the right to limit the number of Products you may purchase.
Information about Products
Due to photographic or screen limitations, actual Products may vary slightly in appearance (for example, colour) compared to how they appear on the website.
Each Product has specific installation and maintenance instructions (“Product Instructions”).
It is important that you read and follow these Product Instructions carefully. Where a Product requires installation by a qualified expert (“Qualified Expert”), you must ensure this is carried out. Failure to do so may result in:
- any associated warranty being voided; and
- the loss of your right to return the Product under our Returns Policy.
Pricing and Payment
All online purchases must be paid for at checkout using one of the payment methods available on the website. If you choose to pay by direct bank transfer, your order will not be fulfilled until the funds have cleared in our account. Where we cannot fulfil an order, you will be refunded in accordance with clause 8.
All prices displayed are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. Delivery or other charges (where applicable) are also displayed in your Checkout Summary.
Delivery
Delivery options and costs are listed on our website and shown in your Checkout Summary. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the indicated time frame.
You will receive an email notification once your order has been dispatched.
If a Product is not dispatched within a reasonable period (depending on product type and delivery address), please contact us so we can either:
- provide an updated delivery estimate;
- help you select an alternative product; or
- cancel the order and arrange a refund or credit.
We are not responsible for delivery delays outside our reasonable control.
You must ensure there is safe and clear access to your property for delivery. At checkout, you must authorise us to leave the Product at your premises if no one is available to accept delivery. A safe location must be provided. If our delivery contractor deems it unsafe or inappropriate to leave the Product, redelivery may be required at your cost.
If you decline redelivery and are unable to collect the goods, they will be returned to our warehouse at your expense. Any refund provided will be reduced by restocking fees and freight charges initially covered by our free shipping promotion.
Some Products may require special equipment or personnel for delivery, which may incur additional charges. These will be disclosed before your order is confirmed.
These delivery terms apply within Australia. Different arrangements may apply for Products delivered from overseas.
Your Obligations on Delivery
Our Returns Policy explains your obligations upon receiving Products. Please read it carefully.
We recommend inspecting Products immediately upon delivery. Any shortages, defects, discrepancies, or incorrect specifications should be reported to us as soon as possible. Please do not open packaging unless you are certain the items are correct.
Title and Risk
Ownership and risk in Products passes to you upon delivery.
Warranties and Liability
All Products include non-excludable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement, refund, or compensation for major failures, and to repair or replacement for minor issues.
Manufacturer Warranties: Some Products include warranty documents provided by the manufacturer or distributor. Unless clearly stated otherwise, these warranties are not issued by us. Please review manufacturer warranties before purchase.

Some Products may be sold “as is” and are not eligible for return. We will inform you if this applies to your purchase.
Except as required by law, all other warranties are excluded. Subject to the Australian Consumer Law, if Products supplied are not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, Pure Ventilation’s liability is limited (at our option) to a refund, repair, or replacement of the Products.
Order Cancellation
We may cancel your order (in full or part) if:
- we reasonably believe you are purchasing for resale (except for trades or builders supplying customers in the course of business);
- a Product is out of stock after confirmation;
- there is a genuine pricing or description error;
- you engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards staff; or
- the order is suspected of fraud or criminal activity.
In such cases, any payment received will be refunded (in full or proportionally for partial cancellations).
Refunds and Returns

If you wish to return a Product that is not faulty or under warranty, we may accept the return at our discretion (“Discretionary Product Return”). If accepted, we may issue a store credit instead of a refund. Store credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Privacy
We collect and use your personal information to supply Products and services. Details of how we handle your information, including marketing and disclosures, are outlined in our Privacy Policy. By providing us with your personal information, you agree to our Privacy Policy.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute regarding a Product, please contact us via our contact form. We will investigate and respond as promptly as possible.
Inconsistency
These Terms of Sale, together with our website policies, apply exclusively. If there is any inconsistency, these Terms of Sale will take precedence to the extent needed.
Definitions
- Australian Consumer Law: National law that guarantees consumer rights when buying goods and services in Australia.
- Checkout Summary: Summary of your Product purchase displayed before confirmation.
- Product: Any goods or services available for purchase from us on the website.
- Website: The Pure Ventilation website at pureventilation.com.au.
- We, Us: Universal Fans Pty Ltd trading as Pure Ventilation.
