This fan is an industrial-grade wall-mounted exhaust fan with self-closing louvres that prevent reverse airflow and is suitable for industrial, commercial or domestic applications. It can extract heat, air or dust or ventilate a space like a factory or garage. The fan is designed to extract large volumes of air (a massive capacity of 1080 m3/hr) at a relatively low noise.

The fan is easy to install and comes with a 240v motor ready to be hardwired.

Commercial Wall Fan w/ Gravity Shutters Installation Requirements

This appliance must be installed by a qualified tradesperson, with all electrical connections carried out by a licensed electrician by local regulations.

An approved means of disconnection must be included in the fixed wiring. The unit is designed for wall mounting with the louvres facing the exterior of the building. Installation involves cutting a wall opening and, depending on the wall type, boxing the unit in with a timber frame or galvanised angle (refer to the installation manual for frame specifications).

Flashing and/or foam seal tape is required to ensure a weather-tight fit. The unit should be securely fixed using appropriate fasteners, and a test run must be performed to ensure free blade rotation and vibration-free operation.

PRODUCT NOTE: This fan requires hardwiring by an electrician and will have to be boxed in with a timber frame or gal angle. For full installation procedures and safety requirements, refer to the official IWEL Installation Manual provided on the product page.
