The Maestro BAL is a bush fire rated (AS3959-2009 up to BAL-40.) mechanical roof mounted ventilator with a capacity of 596 m3/hr. The high quality aluminium based ventilator provides four speed settings (automatic, low, medium and high) to manage excess heat and moisture in the roof space, providing a more comfortable and healthier home, while complying with a ventilator required for a bush fire area.

This fan can be installed on metal or tiled roof as the dektite provided is a malleable flashing. This model comes in a night sky (black) finish.

The Maestro BAL bush fire rated roof ventilator has an aluminium dome and housing with a built in sparkguard mesh and frame which makes the fan suitable for installation in bush fire prone areas. The fan has a high quality Electronic Commutating (EC) motor that comes complete with a transformer. Via the transformer you can select the low, medium or high speed. There is also an ‘auto’ function. The cable provided with the transformer is approx 2m in length, which means your powerpoint needs to be within 2m of the unit. If you have an available power point that can be reached then no electrician in required. If a power point is unavailable then an electrician will be required to install one.

How the Automatic Function Works

The variable speed response is relative to ambient temperature and humidity in the area where the speed controller is located. The fan starts on LO speed when temperature reaches 30°C and then ramps up to HI speed at 45°C. For humidity, the fans will start at LO speed when humidity reaches 65%rH and will increase in speed until MED speed is reached at 80%rH.
