Introducing the brand new Fanco Semi Commercial wall fans!

Click here to view all wall fans.

The Semi Commercial wall fan is the newest addition to our 2015/16 summer cooling range. The fan is easy to install (no electrician required) simply mount the fan via the bracket provided and plug it in to a power point close to the installation location. Once installed the wall fan can be operated via the provided pull cord easily and conveniently. The fan also has the ability to oscillate, meaning it can cover a larger area. The fan has proved popular for applications such as cooling a garage, gyms, fitness studios or even commercial workplaces such as a warehouse.

The fan comes in an attractive black finish with silver blades. Its a modern, sleek design. To top things off the commercial wall fan is a great air mover whilst doing so with minimum noise generated. The fan has three selectable speeds which gives you great control over the amount of airflow.

Introducing a new product! Our window mounted vent is a passive vent which has been designed to allow natural airflow through a window frame. Once installed the vent can be opened or closed. The vent comes with an external cover, small filter and adjustable indoor grille. The cover will prevent water ingress and the product has a built in flyscreen. The filter is designed to keep the air fresh and clean, whilst the adjustable grille from the inside means that you can change the direction of airflow.

It is recommended to install this window vent in the upper portion of the window frame.

With your exhaust system it is common and good practice to vent the system outside, either via an external wall, eave or through the roof.

At Pure Ventilation we sell a wide range of externally mounted vents suitable for wall or under eave installation. You can view our range of vents by clicking here In this blog post we will briefly take a look at the most common choices and the differences between them….

Vent with Gravity Operated Shutters

These are a popular choice because they have gravity operated shutters to ensure the vent is closed when the fan is not in operation. Typically they are available in plastic and metal in a number of different sizes. They may be a popular choice if your exhaust fan or system does not have a backdraft shutter. The gravity vent also stops cold air and pests from entering the system.

Fixed Louvre Vent

This is the standard vent design and unlike a gravity vent this can be placed under an eave. We sell models with built in flyscreens, which act as protection against pests. These are typically available in plastic and metal.

Vents with Protective Covers

These vents are only available in metal and provide good protection against the elements. The two models that we sell are also suitable for use in bush fire prone areas as they contain a built in cinder mesh.

Finally if you wish to vent through a roof you would need to use one of our roof cowl kits.

Run on timers for exhaust fans are designed to keep the fan operating beyond the point of you switching the fan off. This ensures that the room is ventilated adequately.

When would I need one?

Run on timers are popular for rental properties, as generally tenants may not be as vigilant as homeowners when it comes to leaving the fan on until all steam has been removed from the bathroom. If the fan is not left operating for long enough then over time this can create issues covered in this blog post.

They can also be popular if you have the fan wired to a light switch – invariably when you leave the bathroom you will turn the light switch off – therefore the run on timer ensures that the fan stays operating beyond this period.

What Run on Timer options do you have?

We sell two types of run on timers:

The first is an adjustable 2-30 minute run on timer. This gives you the ability to pick exactly how long you want the fan to run for (as long as its between 2-30 mins). This would need to be wired by an electrician and is compatible with most fans that we sell, including inline options.

The second option is a fixed 7 minute run on timer. This is a fixed 7 minute timer and is only compatible with fans that have an axial motor. If you are unsure of compatibility its always best to ask us, however with products that are compatible with this fan we will have the timer listed as an accessory.

Please note: All run on timers will need to be hardwired to the fan/motor by a qualified electrician.

Do you struggle getting ready in the morning with a bathroom mirror that’s engulfed in fog? Good ventilation from an exhaust fan is a great way to combat steam, however fog can still reside on your mirrors. A mirror demister can be a great complimentary product to an exhaust fan to make sure your mirrors stay clear for your morning shave, hair and makeup needs.

Mirror demisters are an easy and effective solution to ensuring your bathroom mirrors stay clear and free from steam or condensation. Mirror demisters are simply applied to the rear of the mirror.  Two sizes are available, however if you have a larger mirror area you can get your electrician to wire a combination together.
